“And God said, “Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.” And God made the expanse and separated the waters that were under the expanse from the waters that were above the expanse. And it was so. And God called the expanse SKY.” – Gen 1:6-8
We watch birds soar, clouds take shape, lighting rip through, rain engross and the sun rays beam all in this portion we call Sky. What a wonderful place it is that we would enjoy so much it has to offer. How great it is that people dedicate their vocations to studying the sky and how its weather patterns work, or to capture the exquisiteness with a brush or a lens.
This place we may have lookd over yesterday can be our haven of peace today, it may be where we look in anguish or astonishment. The Sky, God created on the second day. It was created not as a canvas, but simply a seperator between the waters on Earth to the rains above. God speaks of it so simply here, yet we are so caught up with it often.
What a simple, yet tremendous place that God created.
